TEACHER’S SPEECH FOR THE BOOK DEFENSE
Tuesday, June 9, 2026

Good morning everyone,

Honorable guests, school leaders, fellow teachers, parents, students, and all invited participants, I greet you all with great respect and appreciation.

Today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, is a very special day for us. We are gathered here for the defense and presentation of books prepared by our learners. This is not only a school activity, but also a celebration of knowledge, creativity, courage, and hard work.

As a teacher, I am very proud to stand before you and speak about the importance of this book defense. A book is not just a collection of pages. A book is a voice. A book is a message. A book is evidence that a student has thought, researched, organized ideas, and created something meaningful.

The students who are presenting their books today have shown responsibility, discipline, and determination. They have passed through many steps: choosing a topic, collecting information, writing, editing, correcting mistakes, and preparing themselves to explain their work before others. This process has helped them to grow academically and personally.

Book defense teaches students many important skills. It teaches them how to speak in public, how to answer questions, how to defend their ideas, and how to accept corrections. It also builds confidence and prepares them for future academic and professional challenges.

To our dear students, I want to tell you this: do not be afraid. Stand with confidence. Speak clearly. Explain your ideas with courage. Remember that today is not about perfection only; it is also about learning, improving, and showing what you are able to do.

To the parents and guardians, thank you for supporting your children. Education becomes stronger when teachers, parents, and students work together. Your encouragement, your presence, and your support mean a lot.

To my fellow teachers, I thank you for your guidance and commitment. Teaching is not only about giving lessons in class. It is also about helping students discover their talents, develop their minds, and believe in themselves.

I also thank the school administration for organizing this important activity. Events like this help students understand that education is practical. It is not only about exams, but also about creativity, research, communication, and responsibility.

In conclusion, I encourage every student to continue reading, writing, and learning. The book you defend today may become the beginning of a great future. Many great writers, researchers, leaders, and professionals started with small ideas, but they believed in them and worked hard.

May this book defense inspire all students to love books, respect knowledge, and use education to build a better future.

Thank you very much, and may God bless you all.
