What Will the Partnerships Manager Do?
The Partnerships Manager will support UNICEF’s efforts to strengthen relationships with governments, donors, international financial institutions, foundations, civil-society organizations and other development partners.
The role includes developing partnership strategies, supporting resource mobilization, identifying new donors and funding opportunities, monitoring political and development trends, advising senior management, managing complex projects and supervising staff.
The successful candidate will also help strengthen UNICEF’s visibility and influence with key external stakeholders in the DRC.
Education and Experience Required
Applicants must have an advanced university degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development or another relevant technical field.
Candidates must also have at least eight years of relevant professional experience, including experience in areas such as partnerships, resource mobilization, public affairs, programme management or external relations.
Because this is a senior P-4 role, candidates should demonstrate substantial leadership, strategic planning and stakeholder-management experience.
Language Requirements
Applicants must be fluent in French and English.
Knowledge of another official United Nations language — Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish — or a relevant local language may be considered an advantage.
Experience working with civil-society organizations, international financial institutions, humanitarian operations, fragile settings or country-level development programmes may also strengthen a candidate’s profile.
