One week after their previous gathering, President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and senior officials of the Union Sacrée de la Nation (USN) convened once again at the platform’s headquarters in Gombe, Kinshasa, on Sunday.

The main goal of the meeting was to reinforce cohesion and transparency within the USN, which forms the backbone of the governing majority. In attendance were members of the USN Presidium, government officials, and leaders of political parties and coalitions aligned with the presidential majority.

Under the President’s guidance, participants conducted an in-depth review of the USN charter and the draft internal regulations that will soon govern the platform’s operations. According to Professor André Mbata, USN’s Permanent Secretary,

“Today’s meeting paves the way for the Union Sacrée Congress. The implementation of this charter and internal regulations marks a turning point in our governance, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect.”

Professor Mbata noted that, in a studious yet cordial atmosphere, President Tshisekedi commended the organizational team for its consultative work aimed at meeting the pressing needs of the political structure. The Head of State emphasized the importance of unity of message, effectiveness in public action, and maintaining close engagement with the population.

The meeting also assessed the distribution of responsibilities within the platform’s structures, reaffirming participants’ commitment to supporting the President in achieving the objectives set for his new five-year mandate.
The next Presidium session, chaired by President Tshisekedi, is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025.

“We will finalize all texts, and the High Authority will then decide on the date of the Congress,” Professor Mbata said.

When asked about the newly announced Suminwa II government, Mbata reiterated USN’s endorsement

“It is our government; we said it even before its publication.”
